In an email I sent to Al Bayan Water Company Management that I thought to share with people living in Dubai:
Thanks for your courteous salesmen, today I had the worst experience with salesmen since I came to Dubai more than 7 years ago. I stay on Sh. Zayed Road in the Toyota Building and I have 2 Al Bayan bottles, one of them empty and the other was still a quarter in it.
I called your office at 3:28pm and asked the call center to send me one bottle, he was more than polite and took my order and I was expecting this bottle as soon as possible as I don't think I'm living in a remote area, however, your sales representative rang my door bell at precisely 6:25pm, I shouted 'coming' and went to fetch the door keys and within less than 5 seconds they rang the door bell again. I open the door and find two representatives with two bottles, I said 1 bottle only, one of them said 2..!. I pointed at my water dispenser that the second bottle is still quarter in it so I need only 1 bottle now, then the other guy says something in a foreign language and the guy at the front goes inside my house towards the dispenser, remove the bottle there and pour it inside the dispenser, all the quarter of the bottle and I'm just standing there asking him what are you doing with no answer. Then he shows me that the second bottle is empty and I need now 2 bottles...!!! Is this how you make your sale?!
I insist that I said only one bottle I wanted, and then he returns the empty bottle to the dispenser and murmurs something, pulls the second full bottle out and says 6 Dirhams. I hand over a note of 10 and waiting the balance, and asking if he was drunk because of what he did was totally unacceptable and if someone else with higher temper than me would call the police for sure. Then I hear from the other guy telling me: We come every day in the morning here why you are calling us now?! and they leave.
I realized at that time I made a huge mistake by selecting your company and not Oasis like my brother who stays on the road and never had a problem with them.
Please don't be upset but I feel I have to share this experience with my colleagues and friends, and other people through the net and through daily newspapers like 7Days and I'll be informing you where I'm posting, so maybe you'll have enough time to teach manners to your staff.
